Hurricane Ivan, 20 years later: Millvale residents recount catastrophic flooding from record rainfall
When the floods hit, it was “an all hands on deck” situation for members of North Hills Community Outreach, said Maria Christina, who was the organization’s Outreach Manager in Millvale at the time.
Partnering with local municipalities, churches, nonprofit organizations, first responders and emergency response agencies, NHCO worked to provide immediate assistance and relief to those affected.
Pine Township Youth Council works toward a better future

For this Maker Monday project, “the students are keeping with the theme ‘Kindness has a Domino Effect,'” says their teacher, Heather Persson. “They are decorating domino tiles and turning them into necklaces and key chains to sell before and after school. The money collected from the domino sales will be donated to the North Hills Community Outreach.”
