Ring bells for NHCO during the holiday season!
North Hills Community Outreach is a Salvation Army unit. You’ll see our volunteers staffing kettles and ringing bells at Walmart Gibsonia and Kuhn’s Market on Ferguson Road in Hampton, November 21 through December 24.
This is a HUGE fundraiser for us but…we need volunteers. Nobody at the kettles = no donations! One bell-ringing volunteer can actually raise between $250-$500 per two-hour shift!*
It’s more fun to ring with a friend! This is a perfect opportunity for a parent and child to volunteer together, or for teens looking for volunteer service hours. (All ages welcome but children should be partnered with an adult.)

*What can $250 do? What can $500 do?
$250 can help a single mom pay her heat and light bill for a month or two.
$300 buys 120 jars of peanut butter for families using our food pantry…enough for about 1/5 of our families to get a small jar of peanut butter once a month.
$250 can pay for a low-income working dad to get his car inspected plus buy a tank of gas, so he can get to work and support his family.
$500 can help keep a young family from being evicted if they get behind on their rent.
$500 can help pay for medication for two seniors on a fixed income.
$500 can buy 500-800 cans of soup, tuna, or beans for our food pantries. That amount of soup lasts for about 2 weeks.
