Did you know that SNAP benefits cannot be used to purchase cleaning supplies? Cleaning supplies can be an extra expense that many low-income families cannot afford. NHCO accepts cleaning supplies throughout the year so that families who use our pantries may select items during pantry. In late spring, NHCO holds a Spring Cleaning Supplies collection so that we can provide each family with a bag of cleaning supplies to make their home sparkle.
Suggested items include laundry detergent, antibacterial wipes, all-purpose cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, dish detergent, pack of sponges and paper towels.
Spring Cleaning donations are accepted year round and are especially needed April through June.
Please be sure to fill out a donation slip when you drop off your items…not only does the slip serve as a thank you and for your tax record, but it is extremely important for our record keeping!

- NHCO’s offices are open 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
- We have special donation times on the FIRST Saturday morning of each month from 9am-noon in our Allison Park pantry behind the main building.
- You may call 412-487-6316 opt 1 to make alternative arrangements as available.
- Or you can donate at other locations in the community.
We respectfully request that items not be left outside due to potential damage from weather, animals and insects.
