North Hills Community Outreach is an organization of people helping people through life’s many challenges.
We are an interfaith organization addressing the needs of people living in crisis, hardship and poverty.
We see a future where northern Allegheny County is a sharing community where no one is cold, hungry or alone.
These four tenets are the foundation of our core beliefs in action:
- Faith – We recognize the love of God for everyone.
- Compassion – We treat individuals with dignity, understanding and caring.
- Empowerment – We foster self-sufficiency and an improved quality of life.
- Stewardship – We manage our resources in a trustworthy and responsible way for the good of the community.
As a charitable organization, there are no fees for assistance through NHCO. We rely on the generosity and support of individuals, businesses, foundations, government entities, religious organizations, schools and civic groups to help us carry out our mission of serving those in need.
NHCO serves individuals and families in all of northern Allegheny County north of the City of Pittsburgh. Some programs are offered across the entire county in partnership with other organizations. NHCO’s United Way contributor choice code is 2357.
