Internship Position Description
Duration: May-August 2015, 5+ hours per week

Job Description: Assist with planting, harvesting, and crop management in the garden throughout the duration of internship. Intern will assist in volunteer training/management on site.
Develop an integrated pest management program. This includes garden pest identification, developing organic pest control solutions, and creating educational media to distribute to volunteers at the garden. Media should be user friendly for all ages.
Developing an organic pest control program will be a central goal of the internship. Identify ways we are able to decrease the number of harmful insects through sustainable and organic practices. Upon supervisor approval, assist in executing the program accordingly. This may involve seeking funding sources. Recruit and train volunteers to implement integrated pest management program.
Intern will have access to office equipment to perform duties and tasks. The intern will spend at least one day a week at the garden assisting with volunteers.
